The Children’s Corner

We are really lucky at St George’s to have a such a large church and therefore the space to have a dedicated children’s area.
This is great if your children need to be kept occupied during a service, there is also colouring available on the side by the large table in the south aisle.
The Children’s corner can be accessed at anytime. So, if you are fed up in the holidays and want to go somewhere free and indoors, you are most welcome to come and play here.
3 things to consider:
- Our church can be chilly, so wear layers, maybe bring a warm drink in the winter months too, that said it is lovely and cool in the summer and out of the hot sun!
- Please leave all the toys tidy and pop any rubbish in the bins (just behind the red curtain by the Font in the south aisle) so it is ready for the next children to use.
- Tell your friends, why not arrange to meet here, if you wish to check that there’s not a service that day (funerals are often held mid week) please contact either a church warden or Revd Fran.
Look out for our different events throughout the year that are aimed at families and children and we are also hoping to relaunch Little Giants, our Parent & Toddler group and Dragons (or something similar, maybe a Messy Church) in the Autumn. Please get in touch if you are interested.
We want you to feel safe and welcome at St George’s, the church is a space that should be for everyone, and we want you to also know that we are here for you if you ever need our support in any way, we offer pastoral care but may also be able to signpost you to other services and organisations too.
